Design has always been an integral part of my life. \u00a0 I recently finished a large interior design project in a beautiful home in Palisades in NW Washington, DC. \u00a0 I worked with these clients to choose colors and oversee\u00a0refinishing existing, and adding new, hardwood floors throughout the house; select fabrics and design and replace draperies; select lighting fixtures and refinish fireplace. \u00a0I oversaw the bidding processes, gathered recommendations and\u00a0helped them select from numerous samples (fixtures, fabrics and hardwoods) that I collected, taking into account the look of their home and the design concept they want to further develop. \u00a0Getting the best pricing, arranging for professional organizers and movers, and other leg work for homeowners is also part of how I helped. \u00a0I frequently help with choosing colors (both interior and exterior), and a recent project was choosing colors from a historic palette for a 1923 Sears bungalow, adding some color (moving from grays to greens) while keeping the home in the context of the neighborhood and the craftsman bungalow period. \u00a0My work also includes painting furniture and refinishing hardware. \u00a0Below are examples of my work along with a few references:<\/p>\n
